After 4 days of rain we finally had a drier day today. Cloudy and mild. I think we received around 80 mm of rain over the 4 days. That meant lots of water in the streams today.
I had a short day today, the store had already set up one of the displays that I was supposed to do. After I finished my first stop was at Sir Sandford Fleming Park, I wanted to check to see what kind of ducks were in the harbor. I found a long tailed duck and a black guillemot, some common mergansers and the usual black ducks. After I got back to the Dartmouth side of the harbor I stopped at Sullivan's Pond. Nothing much to see there today, other than the usual mallards and black ducks.
This afternoon I headed over to Shubie to get some photos of the waterfalls there. The chickadees and squirrels had some treats while I was there. I had to laugh at 2 of the squirrels. One was eating some seeds that I put on a log. Another one came along and I'm sure there was some bad squirrel language being used. Whatever they said to each other, the one squirrel stayed about 2 feet away from the one that was eating the seeds. I tossed him a couple of peanuts.
Tomorrow will be a longer day, I am helping with a nail color reline again. At least there is lots of parking at the store tomorrow.
