New mural
Tuesday
It was a beautiful mild sunny day - very welcome! Roger had a short meeting at church this morning, and I had to pop out to buy a couple of cards. Then we had some coffee before going down to Music Live at Lunch at Christ Church cathedral, our usual Tuesday lunchtime activity if we don’t have anything else going on. Today it was a jazz trio, with piano, bass and a singer/trumpet player. They were very good and it was nice easy listening. During the week I had read about a new mural on one of the corners of the Reds baseball stadium, so we went to check it out. The one side features landmarks of Cincinnati, and the other face represents the CROWN, the Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network, which will be a 34 mile urban trail loop. It also features two of the Cincinnati Reds mascots, also shown in my collage. Then it was time to head home, doing some errands on the way. After a cup of tea I went out for a neighborhood walk, so enjoyable in the sunshine. After that it was time to get the outside Christmas lights down - they hadn’t been lit since January 6, but we’d been waiting for a dry mild day to do it, since it involves getting the big ladder out.
