A journey and a walk

Today we had planned to meet up with our lovely friend from Napier, who is in Auckland visiting her grandchildren.  We decided to travel by bus, but our bus into the city was late meaning we missed our connection across to the North Shore. The next bus we took was a minute late and the connecting bus must have left marginally early, so we missed that one too.  Grrr!  We eventually made it, but were half an hour late.  It was rather disappointing, as normally all the connections work.  Fortunately, our return journey went like clockwork.

We had a lovely time with our friend and her grandchildren, It’s always nice to see them.

Tonight, we went walking with the Pigeon Underground - 5k in 44mins.  But it was a flat out and back, so no hills, and everyone gets together for a drink in the bar afterwards.  Great fun.
