Altered Book: Emily Dickinson, poems and letters

I just finished my first altered book project in over 10 years.  I've been starting to clear out my bookshelves and found some I've had for 40 years and thought, why not transform some into art objects?  I started this one just before Christmas.  At our playdate last week, I got Rebecca and Maya started on their own.  They are totally absorbing to make.  Emily wrote 1800 poems over her short life and only 10 were published and they were published without her consent and anonymously.  She wrote only for herself.  She has always been my favorite poet and I hope to visit her house in Amherst, MA this spring which is now a museum.
