For the Birds

I'm a happy Heather. Ever since we moved to this area, about 20 years ago, I have been trying to see the bearded reedlings which live in the reeds on the Tay near Errol. Whenever I walk along there I look out for them but they have remained elusive. But not today! My first ever sighting of bearded reedlings and a tick for my bird list and my bucket list. Unfortunately they were flitting about amongst the reeds and I couldn't get a photo and so you are just going to have to take my word for it. Good views of a reed bunting too, along with redwings and GS woodpecker. And when I got home my bird feeder was covered in about 10 long tailed tits. Happy days!
