End of an era

Today I travelled to country NSW with my brother. We met up with cousins we have not seen for some time . Whilst it is great to reconnect, it has also been tinged with sadness. Today we cleared the home of our aunt and uncle, both who passed away within 15 days of each other. They had no children of their own.
As we sorted through the cherished belongings, I am convinced that life is meant to be lived and shared, with family if you have them, and friends from all walks of life.
If only we knew the story behind the photograph, the land army badge and stories of the events where the jewellery was worn...
