Hither and Thither

The snow flurry on my way to yoga this morning. It started just as I stepped out the door and continued for a bit but thankfully didn't lie and soon petered out.

This was our first yoga class after the festive break and it felt good to be back - our teacher (SA) took us through a gentle routine in which we stretched key muscles and mobilised key joints. We also used chairs in some poses which was fun to explore. It was good to be back and must try and get back into the habit of practicing between classes.

This afternoon saw a mixture of domestic chores (cooking mince and a rice pudding for tonight) and voluntary admin (emails and Facebook postings).

This evening will see my new regular mid-week brisk walks - hopefully some new walkers will be joining us and we will finish Vikings Valhalla.  From watching that and earlier series along with the Last Kingdom accompanied by reading (and fact checking), I am now more knowledgeable about the so-called Dark Ages in England and Scandinavia. However Scotland only features in passing so I must do more reading about that.
