Afternoon tea with Sight Advice
The cold weather continues Our Sight group met today, we had an afternoon tea.
Friend M , who had a freezer problem, called to ask if I had any spare capacity in my freezer to store some of their stuff. After a bit of rearranging and some defrosting (I have been meaning to process some of the raspberries I picked in the summer so this gave me the push to do it) I managed to free up two drawers. I do still have more fruit in the freezer, but that’s for another day. One of the main problems with raspberries is the seeds. Just the wrong shape and size to catch in your teeth, so I decided to remove the seeds from half of the batch. After cooking them for 5 minutes I put them in a straining bag overnight. Jam production continues tomorrow.
