Big Sky

After yesterday’s blip of a lorry hurtling down the motorway alongside the footpath…the view through the gap today was completely different…an accident had closed the southbound carriageway and the traffic was stationary for miles back up the A1..past Wetherby Services. We went food shopping in Wetherby and coming home we got caught up in all the overflow traffic coming off the motorway to find a shortcut….what is normally a 5 -10 minute journey took us over half an hour.

It was still snarled up in the village when I went out for my walk this afternoon. So it was a great relief to be able out in the middle of nowhere and stand and stare at this fabulous sky..looking northwest. The little wood off to the right is known as Whin Covert!
