Colder than it looks

Some early morning snow but later it cleared a bit so I went down to Mintlaw for my stint at the Chatty Cafe. Two friends came in with their lovely dog so we had a fine chat.
On the way home, I popped in past Pitfour Lake and it was a lovely light as you can see in the photo.
Most of the lake was frozen over so the swans were kind of trapped in small “unfrozen“ bits.
It’s so tough on wildlife just now.
