Ladies who lunch

Today's main event was that Charlie treated me to a lovely leisurely lunch in the rather splendid Lion Inn in Boreham. A new venue for me, and a most enjoyable meal that concluded with this incredibly lemony lemon and meringue pot!  What a great midweek treat.

Once home again after we collected William and JJ on the 'school run' I then spent some time starting to assemble the desk that was delivered this morning from Amazon for my newly organized craft room only to realize that while assembly is very straightforward, it really is a two person task, so I'll have to wait until bro comes round tomorrow to help.
