After four days of lying snow and with more frost overnight there will be no play tomorrow at Newbattle Golf course. This is taken near the 17th hole with a view south towards what I think is maybe the 3rd hole and the view north towards the 18th which looks a difficult hole to play across the river.  The photo from the 17th does not give an impression of the height and steep drop down to the river below where a man is just visible having crossed the adjacent Maiden Bridge.
