Tasmanian flora - Leatherwood
Today we cruised down the Pieman River, starting at Corinna and finishing at the beach at Pieman Heads. Our craft was the Arcadia II, built in 1939, out of local Tasmanian Huon Pine, the only one of its kind still operating.
Having been introduced to so much local native flora I wanted to share some for flower Friday. My main is leatherwood. My first extra is Tasmanian laurel; my second extra is a group of tree ferns encountered on a forest walk yesterday; and my third extra is the beach at Pieman Heads.
