Fisherrow

Blippers who live in Edinburgh or East Lothian might be surprised at the choice of winter break. But when you find a dog friendly  hotel which has a pool, a spa and is really close to the beach - well, why look any further. I promised a beach blip and it's in the extra. The main is a boat in the harbour at Fisherrow. We could not have hoped for better weather in January. Cold yes - see the frozen sand in the extra - but there's no wind and the sun is shining. The water is amazingly calm.

A friend who lives in Bruntsfield popped over this morning. We wandered down to Portobello for coffee and a walk on the beach. Once she went home we walked eastwards to Fisherrow.

Back at the hotel now and I'm off for a swim and a facial. Tonight we're heading into the beating heart of Porty to eat.
