Red vs blue

Warm winter sunlight makes me feel so grateful. It was hard to come home from my lunchbreak today and I may have prolonged it slightly further than I should have by pausing to snap these crabapples. 

In a year that has been astonishingly poor for foraging, seeing the bright red of the fruit against the clear winter sky makes my heart soar.
