Winter Lights
The Winter Lights festival has returned to Canary Wharf after missing a few years because of covid. Various light sculptures and installations are scattered around the estate, some I liked more than others, (watching other people interact with them is sometimes more interesting).
This one is called in(visible) by Daniel Popescu.
It's on until Saturday 28 January.
More here.
extras, Floating Earth by Luke Jerram, a giant inflated globe floating on the water by Canary Wharf station.
Permafrost - Sleeping Giants by Fisheye, three glass mammoths between Westferry Circus and the river.
Anima by ELISAVA, hanging fibreoptic lights.
Toroid by This is Loop, illuminated arches.
The Stars Come Out at Night by Stellar Projects.
+ couple of the lights on the water and the Floating Earth again.
