Pine Cones

I went across to Cotswold Outdoor shop in Skipton today to buy some new gloves as I’ve lost one of the ones I normally use. I didn’t want a cheapo pair but the prices they were asking started at £40 and that was in the sale which seemed a tad steep to me.
As it was a nice day, I took the back road which runs parallel to the A629 back to avoid traffic and came across a rather splendid conifer tree where I took this photo.
I’ll try that mill just outside of Cullingworth tomorrow and see if they have any. I can never remember it’s name.
