Little fishies
We went on an excursion today to see a volcano. First we went to the farm where some of the hotel food , fruit and herbs are grown. They have just started a micro brewery too so we sampled some of the beer. Pretty good it was too.
After that we went to the Diamond Falls which is a water fall in the extra, the water coloured by the minerals it contains.
The highlight was a visit to the caldera ( collapsed centre) of the nearby volcano which last blew in 1766, but it has continued blowing steam, bubbling mud and hydrogen sulphide ever since. It’s very smelly!
Most of the flowers in the extra were in a botanical garden near the falls.
Apparently there was a 5.8 earth tremor here this morning. Neither of us were aware of it.
The fish were from this afternoon’s snorkelling session.
Ps Tremor was 6.2 but was off Guadeloupe but surprised we didn’t feel it.
