Seitan
I successfully cooked seitan pieces in the air fryer. After reading a few recipes online I made a hybrid version by adding bbq type spices and sauces half way through cooking. The result actually tasted amazingly like sticky beef and had a very similar texture. What a revelation- this stuff is very low in fat. I bought 12 jars and it comes in chunks suspended in a kind of ginger spicy liquid. Many more cooking experiments to be had with this stuff.
I should add I’m a meat eater and I’m not doing Veganuary, I’m just trying to expand my vegetarian cooking skills and eat a bit healthier too (much work needed on that second point!)
