A Rose for Belinda

Today was the funeral for Belinda, Darrin's (our SiL) cousin who passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago.  She was 43 years old.  There were about 100 people in the church, most of them family.  It was a lovely service but so, so sad.  

Most of the people went on to the cemetery but we stayed behind to help D's mom clean up after everyone left the reception.  She planned and did all the work for the funeral and reception and did a wonderful job.  When we left, we picked up the granddogs so Becky and Darrin could stay with the rest of the family. They're still here now, but B said she is going to leave D there and come home early.

I am grateful for my family and friends.  Losing someone so young, makes me appreciate the people I love even more.
