The Last Day

Although it's his birthday, Spencer didn't want his photo blipped for today, so you're getting a view of Lake Geneva from the North Tower of Cathédrale Saint Pierre. We took the train to Geneva and arrived in the afternoon to a hot, breezy day without a cloud in the sky. We easily found the apartment we rented near the University and dropped off our bags. As it was Nancy's first time in Geneva, we brought her to the cathedral so she could have a nice view of the city--it helps a lot with orientation when you're up there. We walked all over through parks, by the lake, out to the lighthouse, through the old-town, had afternoon drinks at a cafe on the street just to watch the people. After a delicious birthday dinner at Spencer's favorite restaurant, we walked all the way back to the apartment. We're having a bit of an early night because Nancy is flying home in the morning.
