Fun in the sun

When we started showing pics from Wanaka, a few weeks ago, the hills in the background were green. The major crowds have gone back to work but sadly many of the cafe's are still shut or operating on very restricted hours, due to severe staff shortages. Having barked that, the cheese scones were all gone from our local joint when we retired there for lunch and we were forced to eat other things instead. On the plus side it's just 23c out, Sigh......
The staff issues may never be the same as a very large component of the casual staff in Cafes came from travelling younger folk and everything has changed there. Air fares have generally doubled and foreign looking folk that you meet on the lakeside come from Auckland where they have lived for years (The Boss always asks folk where they are from).
It's all a bit much for a Small Stuffed Dog.
