Belfry

Belfry or bell tower? This is on the Wark Town Hall and Mechanics’ Institute and strikes the time every hour. The clock mechanism is hand wound once a week by a local man. 
I found I had time on my hands whilst stood outside with Molly dog waiting for Mrs S to reappear after returning a plate and pudding bowl ‘which won’t take a moment’. I was intrigued by the angles from my viewpoint.
I didn’t realise until a minute ago that it has its own entry in Wikipedia here. It still has a library and snooker table as well as stage, hall, kitchen and meeting rooms. It is now a designated warm meeting place for those needing one.
