Beating the retreat

Thank you for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars for yesterday's 11th blip birthday. 

Out early this morning with the spaniel. Although he's supposed to be a gun dog he can't stand the sound of gunfire. Half a mile into our planned walk a pheasant shoot started up and we had to retrace our steps and head in a different direction. We eventually found some solace in Church Wood but, just after I'd taken this photograph, we came across the beaters driving more birds down the hill towards another set of waiting guns. Time to head for home.
