Brougham Castle

It was wet today as we drove home to Cumbria.

We stopped for coffee at Richmond in Swaledale. It was pouring down!

Then we stopped again at Brougham Castle near Penrith. The sun came out!

Brougham Castle was founded in the early 13th Century. ( As a barrier against Scots invaders! ) Edward 1 was there in 1300.
