Off ringing

It has not been above zero all day and by the time it came to ringing practice it was -2. I dug out my longjohns, body warmer, thickest jumper and heated scarf and was not too cold. There is no heating in the church and it was as cold inside as outside. I had intended to play tennis this morning but there was still a couple of metres of ice behind the base line where the sun has not penetrated. It would have been possible to have a practice as the court itself was clear but as there was still snow in the air, we decided to postpone again. Instead, I watched Andy Murray play an excellent match at the Australian Open. If he had had more recovery time after his six hour marathon ending at 4 am yesterday, he might have won.
