Day 5 - Florence

Today we visited Florence and had a guided tour of the Galleria dell 'Accademia where Michelangelo's statue of David is housed. We also visited the frequently photographed Basilica di Santa Maria de Fiore (Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower) but my blip is the main door to the Basilica of Santa Croce which is the burial place Michelangelo, Galileo, Maciavelli and Rossini. The contrast of all this with the little girl seemed significant.
