Snowdrop time

It does cheer my spirits when I see little clumps of snowdrops breaking through the leaves and grass. Their little hanging bells seem to ring in the notion of spring's imminent arrival. 

Despite being very cold today, with the frost not melting in any shaded areas, the sun shone brightly despite its still low trajectory across the sky. But it is getting higher and brighter by the day.
