Warm hat for a cold day

Took the dog out for a walk this afternoon and bundled us both up in all kinds of gear. I love the color and texture in this hat. The slip stitch pattern is so fun, and I love the subtle variegation in the dye. It was a gift from a coworker so not my work, but I'd love to try this pattern sometime.

I'm finding myself drawn lately to photographing color, texture, and light very close up. Not the most interesting in terms of composition but I'm having fun experimenting with capturing fine detail.
