Catkins

I took this at the Newt today . So much sunnier than last week when I was with my niece ! 

I wanted to capture the catkins but I notice I’ve also inadvertently captured the little pink flower on the end of the twig - I was looking for them but couldn’t spot them until I looked at the photo! They are the female flowers like little anemone buds and the catkins themselves are male .

More blue skies - luckily we escaped the freezing fog which other places had .

The engineer came to check the heating was working in the conservatory- it’s brilliant now although the meter is whizzing around at an alarming rate .
