We Grieve, But Not Without Hope!

And we know from Pastor Wes's sermon just days ago, that our hope is not just wishful thinking, but a faith and a certainty that God has promised Heaven to all those who have believed that Jesus came to earth to live the perfect life we could never live, so that He could die the death that we deserved, to redeem us so that we could live forever with Him and our loved ones who are His faithful servants.  Today, we sang songs, shared memories and laughed and cried together as we remembered our dear friend.  John has gone on ahead of us, freed from his failing body,  leaving a legacy of loving God, his family and his country for us to enjoy remembering and build on to bring more people into God's kingdom! I can still hear John saying, "Coffee Up!" signalling that it is time to get about the business at hand......
