A “Must Do” thing……

For confident swimmers, both kids and fit adults, a jump from the bridge at high tide into the deep inlet to the Kaiteriteri Estuary is a MUST DO! There was a gathering crowd jumping or watching this morning. A bus load of kiddies wearing Life Saver Caps and little vests arrived while I was watching. These future real Life Savers were from Nelson. They are known as Nippers. They were here for the day to learn more water safety skills.
The day has been hot with an unbelievably rich blue sky and sea. A cool breeze for those at the foreshore but far too warm for folk in the sheltered camp ground.
