Coming up

This year I've held off tidying up the garden as I'm trying to help out all the wee beasties overwintering above and below ground. It's driving me a bit mad though, as there are so many weeds I'd like to pull out and fallen leaves I'd want to compost.

Instead, I've pruned the climbing rose as that really will go crazy if I don't do it now. I'm not totally sure what I'm doing but I try to follow what it says in my gardening book. The plant keeps growing and flowering each year so I can't be doing too badly.

A few snowdrops are coming up, but most things are still dormant.
