Offerings

Been a mix of a day. Lovely fresh breeze and sunshine like Edinburgh on a warm June day. But just like Edinburgh it clouded over.

Went in to Estepona - the nearby town - to see some of the preparations for the parade of San Isidro Larador. It is the local fiesta all week, with everything shut today. Lots of sights and sounds. Troubadours, local costumes, moorish dress, firecrackers, crowds - dancing to Gangnam style? Saw the streets being prepared with bracken strewn everywhere.

Then like Edinburgh, it rained and the parade was called off. We assume they didn't want to get the relics wet! So this is the shot of the day reflecting that his is a mix of religious and agricultural festival. Note the offering of the chorizo too!

Lots of fun.
