The Muse Awakens
I thought for certain that my Muse was sleeping in this morn. The only photo I had taken on our walk was of an interesting-looking trash pile. Upon arriving home I sat out in the backyard hoping for some inspiration. A shadow crossed our pond. Most likely a Turkey Vulture, I thought. But no! My Muse had awakened and the shadow was thrown by a large Red-tailed Hawk that frequents our neighborhood. I snapped seven shots of her before she flew off, calling as she did, up to a perch in a high pine tree.
"I am my own muse. I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to better." __Frida Kahlo
