These redshanks were unusually placid in the late afternoon sun, which caught their orange legs nicely.
Extra: I was just waiting for our coffee machine to dispense its first cups of the day, when this gorgeous sunrise appeared.. The distant mast (approx. 14kms by road from said coffee machine) is Huntshaw transmitter, standing at 364 metres. The pic. is straight from camera, other than a big crop.
