Right under my nose!

It's been so close all this time and I never even knew! The very rare Edward VIII postbox from his short reign (325 days) in 1936, before his abdication. He was also never coronated as King. There aren't many of these apparently (definitely less than 200 - one source says there are only around 100 in existence now) and this is the only one in Newcastle! 

Found it on my lunchtime walk, as I'm teaching all weekend. Thanks to @daver64 who told me about this rare find!
