22/365 Allotments 1
If you stand on tiptoe and peer over the garden fence and turn your head well to the right this is what you can see. It's one of the two allotment patches in the village. This one belongs to the parish council whilst at the other end of the village opposite the church there are the ones belonging to the church.
You could also see them by hanging precariously out of the bedroom window whilst again turning your head well to the right.
It's not all of the allotments in the photo but just a part of it. I've blipped it for the Derelict Sunday challenge and whilst they aren't completely derelict I think there is an air of dereliction about them, certainly at this time of year.
The allotment holders do spend a lot of time on them and the ones closest to us will see John there every day and several times a day in the growing season. Such dedication. The one next to his belongs to Lionel and he comes every day in the warmer months with his wife. They hang washing out and sit and talk with John for ages.
I don't think that I could look after one properly as it looks like a lot of hard work to me. It would definitely be fulfilling but at what cost to my poor old bones?
Have a good week ahead everyone and thank you all again and agin for the nice comments, stars, and hearts xx
