A real hero

Memorial to the skipper Joaquim Lopes (1800-1890) who was a fisherman and oarsman who ended up saving a huge amount of lives at sea and becoming a lifeboat captain (and continuing to save a lot of lives). Part of a verse about him said “Never killing brothers, but destroying shrouds” what a hero! Extra of a group flop.
