Footsteps in the snow

It was supposed to be 15 F last night. I was noticing during the night it was pretty chilly in here. We only have the wood stove and when it goes out it gets cold. Sometimes we try to keep it going over night. Dan started it early in the morning. When we got up it was -2 F. It was our first below 0 night. We had about an hour of glorious sun and then the clouds rolled in about 8:30 and it was overcast the rest of the day. The temperature never broke freezing but did get up to 28 degrees. That was enough for the ducks and chickens to get out and about for a while.
I went for a short walk out the old road. Everything was just so monotonous that a black and white photo wasn't much different than what I actually took. I just messed with it a bit to try and bring out my footsteps.
We have another winter storm warning for tonight through tomorrow. We once again may have another snow day tomorrow.
*Edit* The school district has actually called us this evening and cancelled school for tomorrow. How very rare and a snow day on Friday and one on Monday hasn't happened since I've been working there.
