today it was wonderfully quiet in the chess room: the grandmasters had a rest day and so there were no crowds today. And that was really wonderful after the huge crowds of last weekend.
the tournament photographer also had a different kind of day: photographing the amateurs is another branch of sport. afterwards it turned out that the photographer had also found Erwin: no fewer than two photos of him on the website. special, because there are usually about 30 photos on it and more than 450 amateurs play...

E again played a draw, after a crazy match against a very nice opponent.

afterwards we walked back to our lodgings together. along the way, E indicated that he can still play now, but slowly has to start thinking about playing with an assistant or something, because mooving the pieces, sitting in the other wheelchair (which does fit the table) and taking notes are physically becoming harder and harder. something to look into in terms of possibilities. also in terms of rules...
