Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree

This magnificent horse chestnut is situated on the bank of the Spey just outside Inverallan Old Church graveyard. The large stone basin to the immediate left of the tree is thought to be the font from the Mediaeval church. There are now no visible remains of the church which was dedicated to St Futach.
