Visiting family
Today was full when visiting a niece who lives near Tewksbury and later on to her sister in Worcester. Both ‘girls’ have moved house during the last three years and my sister arranged the day for John and myself to catch up.
A special day starting off in Little Beckford with this young man playing happily alongside his grandma. He was very quiet on our arrival, this soon changed. The house looked in good order although my brother in law had a number of jobs to do for his daughter. M, the daughter, had booked a table for lunch at the Yew Tree, about three miles away, what a beautiful area, it was very good for food and atmosphere, although it turns out the waiting staff hadn’t turned up, the two gentlemen serving us happened to be customers who had offered to help. What Hero’s! Anyway we had a great time and food.
The day was yet again freezing cold, hard frost everywhere.
After lunch we headed off to Worcester to meet L and family in their recently bought house. It was big, probably built in the 50’s and in need of some TLC. Her dad is a very handy person to have around, this time with a long list of jobs to do, work in progress, whats done looks very good.
L had booked table in the evening for a Thai meal, most enjoyable and the restaurant felt warm! The weather was by now foggy as well as freezing.
We arrived home feeling happy, well fed although shattered, I had to write it down here for future reference.
