Meeting the parents

As usual my sister and i are paying every wednesday a visit to our parents. We get a nicely prepared meal and enjoy a bit of chit chat. I brought a bottle of cava and our moods were high. We're happy that our parents are still in good health. Dad was just going to cut ice cream with a knife but this scene looks a bit odd doesn't it.
