Final walk around the block taking in the fresh food market and beach front. The last time we said farewell to the place, we had no idea it would be three long years before we returned with the world in covid turmoil in between. We do hope it will not be as long this time.

One thing for sure is that being here refreshes our souls and, somehow, its important to be faced with the reality of extreme poverty and disadvantage as part of one’s daily life landscape. It puts things in perspective, including our own great, good fortune, and reinforces our need to support those who try to address the systematic problems that make it so prevalent.

Now safely at GIG ready for Barcelona home!
