The Vision

George Frampton's bronze relief The Vision greets visitors entering the house at Standen.

The house - one of our regular local haunts - was open today only for guided tours. Today's tour guide remarked that Frampton is best known as the sculptor of the Peter Pan Statue in London's Kensington Gardens.

Mrs Catspaw and I think that the woman is meant to be playing a stringed instrument, rather than interacting with a computer keyboard or other contemporary electronic device.
