... by the Rochdale Canal at Lobmill, near Todmorden.  
Interestingly, the canal, river, main road and train line all run alongside each other at this point although this isn't quite clear from this viewpoint.   Another interesting point is that a very good childhood  friend of Mr MD lived at the lovely white house on the hillside.   He spent many hours there.
