Through my Eyes

Razorbill

The Razorbill is a seabird that we catch glimpses of in winter, along the coast.  This one came in pretty close and I was lucky to spot it. The oldest known Razorbill was at least 41 years old It was banded as a nestling on Bardsey Island in the United Kingdom in 1968, and was resighted while breeding in 2009. Pretty cool! I hope the one I saw today has an equally long life.
