Went to the Hancock collection auction at Lyon & Turnbull in the morning. Didn't buy anything, but watched the action for two hours. Bidding from people online, from people calling in with voice only, and from the maybe 30 or so people in the room. Getting a feeling for the pace of the thing, since it goes on all day. 

Out later by tram to Saughton Park; found snowdrops (extra) in a south west facing border. Back by the Water of Leith ( 9 goosander at the East end of Roseburn park) and the tram.
