hiding among the catkins

I love the game of hide and seek. And that's probably a good thing if I want to photograph small birds!
First I listen for their calls, or the noises they might make moving around, to find a general area in which to seek. Then I look for the flash of movement. If they stay perfectly still and quiet, they might as well be invisible to me. But usually small birds are quite busy flitting around, and often quite chatty as well.
Once I catch a glimpse of them, the trick is to snap a focused blip in the midst of their frenetic activity.
Today I won the game of hide and seek with this chipping sparrow!
